My name is Nic, I’m a recent doctoral graduate in Geography and the Environment from a British university. I was born and raised overseas, and now temporarily reside in the US South. This blog is my way of keeping sharp as I apply for jobs, shepherd papers through peer-review, and try to share some of what I’ve learned as a geographer with a wider community. My research is situated within economic- and financial-geography perspectives, and I focus on banks/non-banks, state regulatory agencies, employment and job growth processes, sub-national scales such as regions and metropolitan areas, and related topics. Thank you for visiting!
